Lyssa Phifer, CPA and Elev8Hope team up for the first annual Wall of Hope 5k.
Elev8hope, in partnership with Little Treasures Pediatric Program and our Partners In Care: Together For Kids Program held their first Wall of Hope 5k on February 7th at the Indian Riverside Park. It was a warm and beautiful day and they had runners from every walk of life. With some of the students from Elev8hope running for somebody who wasn’t physically able to themselves.
In conjunction with the race, Elev8Hope students developed a community-wide art project. Each runner was given a strip of fabric that they were to write a “hope” on. The students then weaved the strips together to create a “wall” of hopes and dreams which was displayed the day of the race. The wall celebrated the personal stories of hope through art.
